The St. Charles (Ill.) Review, Feb. 14, 1879
About seventy people spent Friday evening at the residence of Mr. Lyman Connor. The occasion was a surprise party. Borne on the wings of merri8ment the hours sped swiftly away and the time for the homeward march came all too son. There were dancing and euchre and many other games, that were made to contribute to the evening's fun.
