John Conley was born in Maryland ~1787 and married Elizabeth Smith in Clear Spring, MD in 1805 at the German Reformed Church. He moved in 1811 to Preston County, Virginia, settling near Kingwood. He had 10 children. I am looking for any information regarding his parents. His grandson, William G. Conley became governor of West Virginia. If you have any information please contact me. Thanks.
