My grandfather John Connolly had a brother Patrick Connolly, b. 3/21/1876 in Knockscagh, Co. Cork, Ireland. I don't know what happened to him. There were many children (accounts differ), at least three of whom, including my grandfather, came to New York in the early years of this century. Some brothers were said to have gone to Australia.
On the other hand...Patrick is a common name, and the names of his offspring don't seem consistent with the other family names I've found.
I'd be happy to share what I have (and anything more I find--I'll be in Ireland in June).
