Kevin,

This is a real longshot ! However,if you don't ask you will never find out.

My great, great grandfather was a Peter Connolly who must have come over from Ireland as I can't find any record of his birth or marriage in Scotland.
He married Mary Ann Johnston and they had a son Thomas Connolly B.1857 in
Edinburgh.
Unfortunately as yet I don't know what county he/she came from (only started
this tracing the family tree) so I'm checking out anything at the moment.
Did any of your family come to Scotland in the 1800's ?

Bye the way , my Peter Connolly had an occupation as a Picture Frame Maker (it
says so on the birth cert. of Thomas Connolly).

I look forward to hearing from you.

Alan Tweedie
