The Catholic church in Dunmore is
St. Nicholas church. My father Patrick
Connolly was baptised there in 1908 and his
parents James Connolly and Celia Meehan were
married there in 1903. There are many Connolly families in Dunmore most of which
are related to one another. My ancestor Patrick Connolly I was born in Dunmore circa
1822. He had a son William about the age of
your William but he married a McWalter. Your
William is possibly a descendant of a brother
of my Patrick Connolly I. Since the Irish weren't too imaginative about first names for
their children most Connolly families probably had a William. I have aunts and an uncle living in Dunmore and I will let you know if they have any info on your William.
