I've not much to go on, yet, but I thought I'd give this a shot. I'll preface this by simply saying that my family disintegrated when I was about 2 years old. I'm now 55 and have two surviving older brothers whose memories for detail are at times blurred. I'm researching my family history so that my children will grow up with more than I had. My grandfather's name, on my mother's side, was Patrick Connolly, born in 1880 in Scranton, PA. His father, also Patrick Connolly, is listed as being born in Ireland on my grandfather's death certificate. No date, nor location in Ireland given. My granfather's mother (elder Patrick's wife) is listed as Cecelia O'Hara, also born in Ireland. Since my grandfather was born in 1880, I can probably assume that his father and mother were 18-22 years of age at the time, make the senior Patrick Connolly and Cecelia O'Hara probably born around 1860. At this point I've no idea when they immigrated to the U.S. My grandfather, the younger Patrick, relocated to Omaha, NE with his father in the early 1900's from what I can surmise. Patrick, the younger, became a fireman in Omaha and eventually a chief of some sort. He died in 1918 from influenza according to his death certificate. If any of this matches with anyones history, I'd love to hear from you. If you can point me to any resources that may be of help, that would also be appreciated. I'm not certain if my email address appears with this note, but in case is doesn't, it is: michael.e.davis@boeing.com
