Hugh Connolly: Ireland to PA
Posted by: Jacque Date: June 04, 1998 at 23:11:52
  of 1895

My gg grandfather, Hugh Connolly, was born Mar 17, 1829 somewhere in Ireland. He immigrated to the US in 1845 and served as an indentured servant in PA with (we believe) the Hamm family in Hanover, PA.
He became a US citizen in 1863 then joined the 210th Pennsylvania Volunteers in the Civil War in 1864.
He married Mary Jane Hamm in 1861 and had 10 children (Bessie, Annie, Rose, Frank, Clara, Sara Jane, John, Charle, Ella and William).
Hugh died on 23 March 1898 in Limon, CO.
If anyone sees a connection I'd love to hear from you. I have no records of Hugh's family in Ireland -- if any relatives came over with him -- or where in Ireland he originated.
I do have pretty good information on him from his U.S. arrival date that I'd be more than happy to share with you. Thanks.
