My Name is Tom Conley and I am looking for information about my Irish ancestors. My cousin has traced our family tree back to Aghnaskew (or Annaskieve) Co. Monaghan, Ireland.
My Great Grandfather Phillip Connolly was born in Monaghan in 1847 to Michael and Joanne (Rudden) Connolly. Phillip also had two brothers John and James Connolly who emigrated from Ireland - one toAustralia, and one to Texas. Phillip married Rose Brady, daughter of Thomas and Mary (Murphy) Brady on February 16,1871 in Scotshouse Chapel, Monaghan.
Shortly after thereafter Phillip and Rose left Ireland for the USA via Liverpool, England on a ship called the Samaria. They arrived in Boston, Ma. And settled in Brockton, Ma. . When they arrived in Boston the spelling of their name was changed From Connolly to Conley. If anyone has any information about my family tree please email me at Tconley917@aol.com.
