Colette: I have a Michael Connolly who I think was my gggrandfather, from Knockskagh, nr. Leap. Co. Cork--but I don't think he ever left the area. He was married to a Cate Williamson, and had at least one son, John. He appears in Griffith's Valuation in 1852. There are other Michael Connollys in the area, and lots of Connollys, esp. near Drinagh, Co. Cork.
What did a marriage broker do?
Sheila Connolly
