You mentioned the two words I was looking for!

Connolly and Carrickmacross. Take a look at my homepage

my line is from Carrickmacross and I have traced solid links back to the
area. Phillip and his wife were teachers at the Ballymackney school in
Carrickmacross Co. Monaghan and they had a large family.

We know that there are members of this family went to America and possibly
Canada, also New Zealand and Australia.

I live in New Zealand now and have spent two years researching the tree. I
have contact with a dozen or so living relatives, some still in Ireland.
It's extremely probable that we are related.

I was born in Dublin, my father as well, his father Peter was born in Carrickmacross, as was his grandfather Phillip Connolly
