My ancestor Mary Connolly was born in ireland about 1837.
She emigrated to America by the middle 1850s & I find her
in Boston with her parents Michael & Mary Connolly and her
husband Thomas Jennings, fisherman, in the 1860 census. Her
brother was John Thomas Connolly, her nephew was his son James
Brendan Connolly. Records at Sts.Peter & Paul's Church in
Boston show that Mary & Thomas Jennings were members in the
late 1850s. By 1865 the family was living in Gloucester MA.
Mary died there in 1875 at the age of 38; the cause of her
death was consumption. She had five children:
1. Delia(Bridget)
2. Michael..died in infancy
3. John
4. Mary Jane
5. Patrick
6. Katherine
I would like to find out more about her parents and siblings.
where they came from in Ireland and other family information.
