My grandmother was Catherine Connolly - came to Australia at the age of 4 with her parents and four of her siblings in 1877. Parents Timothy Connolly and Catherine McCarthy. Timothy's brother Denis had arrived 15 years earlier. After the execution of James C my grandmother's nephew wwas in correspondence with Nora- the daughter of James. Letters seem to have been lost unfortunately. According to the son the correspondants had found a relationship to satisfy themselves. Thmothy and family had lived in Ballydehob, Co Cork before coming to Australia. I would love to find out whether there is any truth in the family story!
