Do I understand that you've just started? I can only speak for some of the Co. Cork Connollys (they are plentiful in a couple of others as well). I can get as far back as my great-great-grandfather, in Knockskagh, nr. Leap (which is near Skibbereen), Co. Cork--he and his descendants were farmers there as early as 1852, and many in later generations left for other places. But just north of there is Drinagh (townland and parish), which has got Connollys all over the place, dead and alive. If you want more details, contact me. I warn you--they all seem to share the same ten or so names, so sorting them out is interesting. But it's a beautiful area to investigate.
