Where did your Connolly family settle? My great grandfather, John Connolly, also from the Cliften area, settled south of Fort Benton in the Highwoods & later homesteaded just east of Cut Bank. His mother & his nine surviving siblings also settled in the Fort Benton area. John arrived in time to participate in the Civil War. The rest arrived after the war. John's father's name was Michael & his father was James. Michael had some siblings & I'm only aware of a sister than came to Montana. Does any of this sound like a family connection to you?
Thanks,
Ralph
