My ancestor's name is Edward Connolly, son of Felix and Marguerite O'Connor. He was originated from Donegal, co of Tyrone et came to Canada as private in English armies around 1814 for the war against Americains. Released in 1815, he got first married in protestant Chrish Church of William-Henry (Sorel in Quebec, Canada) in 1816 and second in catholic Church in 1822 after 4 children, with Marguerite Gamelin, a French-Canadian girl. He died in 1857 at 81 years old in
L'Avenir on a farm of over 200 cultivated acres.

His descendants are well known in Canada and for most of them, they speak french. I'm looking for any siblings or cousins left over in Ireland. If anybody still works on genealogy of the Connolly's familly out there in your green and beautiful country?

Thank you for any informations you might get for me,

Best regards,

Paul.
