There surely is a connection between the NY and NH Conrey men.I found the names of both listed as living in NH during the post Revolutionary War Period when they were bringing lumber down from the NH mountains to Lowell, MA as the textile mills and canals were being built. They apparently were lumber suppliers for several years as I found a number of original receipts and payment slips for the lumber in the company records. It appears that brothers and their children were all involved and it must have been lucrative for a time. Some apparently remained in Massachusetts near Lowell, some in NH and others returned to NY area. The surname was spelled by the company people who provided payment in several different ways from Conrey to Connery.I do remember original signatures were signed Conrey but also in other ways as well. Some signed with a mark.
