Andersen CONNER, born 7 Dec 1817, VA, USA - married Ann Catherine RICE in Halifax County, VA on January 15,1841. Ann Rice was born May 30 1819, Prince Edward County, VA - she was a daughter of James RICE and Mary 'Thompson' BAKER.
The Conner family migrated from Halifax County, VA to Callaway County, MO (see 1850 census). Their children were: Thomas CONNOR/CONNER born 1842 (VA) died abt 1862-63 (MO) in the Civil War; Mary Susan CONNER born 1843 in (VA), married Smith YOUNT 1863 in Callaway County; James Samuel CONNER born 1847 (TN), married Catherine GILMORE 1833 in Callaway County; Benjamin A. CONNER born 1849 in (MO), married Itta S. DOYLE 1884 Callaway County; Benjamin CONNER Married 2nd Sarah E ?. about 1900; last child of Andersen Conner and Ann Catherine was Sarah A. CONNER born 1856 (MO) died before 1870 Census.
The Conner family were somewhere in Tennessee where Anderson's son James Edward CONNER was born in 1847; Andersen purchased a land grant in Callaway County, MO in 1856 - Certificate #33147; his wife Ann Catherine (Rice) CONNER died in 1888; Andersen CONNER died in 1900 - both are buried in the Union Hill Baptist Cemetery, New Bloomfield, Callaway County, MO.
My family History is that Andersen CONNER’S father was Samuel CONNER and his mother was Jenny(?). Would love any information on Anderson Conner's parents, son Thomas Conner; and the Rice family from Prince Edward and Halifax counties in Virginia.
