4/26/1918 OLDEST WOMAN IS DEAD AT 93 YEARS
Relatives Believe None of Her Sex in State Exceeded Her Age.
Mrs. Minerva Conner who died Wednesday at the home of her son, John Conner, 27 ½ W. Reno Avenue, was the oldest woman in Oklahoma, her relatives believe. If she had lived until Monday, she would have been 94 years old.
Mrs. Conner was born in the southeastern part of Missouri, in 1824, three years after that state was admitted to the union. Her parents went to Missouri from Kentucky during the influx of 1815.
Mrs. Conner came to Oklahoma to live with her son about a year ago, and was stricken with paralysis eleven months ago.
Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon at the Conner home by Rev. C.H. Hairfield, pastor of the Washington Avenue Baptist church. Mrs. Conner had been a member of the Baptist church during the greater part of her life. Burial was in Fairlawn cemetery.
