* Note: This D\C lists his surname as JARROLL, gives him a middle
initial. List's his mother as Rhodie, which I assume is a
derivative of Rhoda. His father's given name as James, as
oppossed to Madison which we've always call him, as well as
identifying his as JARROLL. His wife's surname as COINER.
This query reflects all those changes but I wanted to make
you aware of them; good guy that I am<G>.

The last time I posted this query to the JARRELL ListServer was 7 Oct
06 and the whole front end has been changed by this D\C.
We have five generations of JARRELL ancestors for Asa and we have
sixty eight descendants for this couple.

Colcord - Mrs. Lillie Faye Stanley, 87, died Tuesday night in a
Beckley nursing home after a long illness.
Born at Dorothy on April 12, 1885, she was a daughter of the late Asa
and Angel Jarrell.
Survivors include one son, Ralph; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Estep of
Belva, and Mrs. Earl Tucker of Fosterville; nine grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery at Orgas.

Colcord - Ralph D. Stanley, 60, died Sunday at his home.
Death was attributed to natural causes. He was a disabled coal miner
and a WWII veteran.
Born 14 April 1915, he was a son of the late George William and Lillie
Faye Jarrell Stanley.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Mary Estep of Belva and Mrs. Earl
Tucker of Rock Creek.
Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery at Orgas.

BEATRICE AGNES VANOY (nee Jarrell)
COLCORD - Beatrice Agnes Vanoy, 82, of Colcord died Feb. 12, 2002.
She was born April 26, 1919 at Dorothy, a daughter of the late Cephus
and Bessie Jarrell.
She was a homemaker and member of Dorothy Assembly of God.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband,
James Vanoy, sisters, Juanita Hendricks and Flora Dillard; brother,
Emory Jarrell.
She is survived by her children, Jackie Vanoy and his wife, Karen of
Colcord, Danny Vanoy and his wife, Bonnie of Dorothy; eight grand
children, Vickie Sorrell and her huband, Tim, Kim Gilbert and her
husband, Clint, Jackie Vanoy Jr., Jim Vanoy, Stephanie and her
husband, Jimmy Williams, Dan Vanoy and his wife, Tracy, Shannon Vanoy
and his wife, Kim, Wendy Nichols and her husband, Todd; brother Elvin
Jarrel and his wife, Ressie of Chelyan, Jessie Stover of Colcord; 13
great grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Assembly of God Church,
Dorothy with the Rev. Gerald Pauley and Cecil McClellan.
Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas.
Visitation will be today, Feb. 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the church.
Valley Funeral Home, Whitesville is in charge of arrangements.

Colcord - Mr. and Mrs. James Vanoy observed their 35th anniversary.
They were married Sept. 30, 1939 in Kentucky.
She is the daughter of Bessie Jarrell and the late Cephrus Jarrell of
Sycamore Creek, and he is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Vanoy
of Whitesville.
The Vanoys live on Sycamore Creek, and have two sons, Jackie and
Danny, and 7 grandchildren.
