My great grandfather, James Conner, according to 1860 Census Records from Milton County GA, was born in 1840 in Georgia. In 1860 census records he is living with his wife Catherine (Rhoda Catherine Garmon) and son Jesse (Coleman) who is 1. He went into the Civil War, survived Gettysburg, was last listed as being released from Point Lookout, MD at James River VA. There are no further records. My great grandmother Catherine and her son Jesse moved to Alabama where she had relatives. I need help finding the parents of James Conner. They are probably just in front of my face and I can't see them. Could someone help?
