I am looking for information on John Connelly /Connely who may have been Henry's brother or close relative. John and Henry (and their families) are shown in the 1787 North Carolina State Census. John was born 1744 and married Sarah Wilson. They had at least 10 children. I have information on their descendants. I would like to know John and Henry's relationship and from where John came in Ireland or if there was a generation before him in America. The Henry listed along with John is the same Henry as it states he was born in 1752 and was known as Captain Connely (appointed by Gov. Burke of N.C.)He was born in Chester Co. PA. Arnold Kegel's account taken from county courthouse records etc.states "the exact relationship of these men has not been established." By the way, the 1787 Census lists them as "Conley."Any help? I would love to hear from anyone with info. on John. Thanks
