Dear Everybody,
My ggg grandmother was Margaret Connelley. She was probably born in Co. Galway in about 1839. She married Michael McDermott, whose (large) family was all from Galway.
They had at least two children: Mary, born 1859 (m. Edwin Davis), and Sarah, born 1863 (m. James Thomas Burns).
Both the daughters ended up in Napa, CA. Sarah came over as an infant, and Mary when she was 13. I don't yet know whether Margaret and Michael immigrated; they probably did.
Does anybody know about this Connelley family? Margaret may have had a brother or cousin named Thomas, who also immigrated to Napa.
I'd love any further information or linkage to cousins. I'm working hard on getting information about Margaret from Napa.
