My 4xggrandparents were Arthur and Jane Connelly. They are mentioned in the book "Chronicles of the Scotch-Irish Settlement in Virginia". They had 8 children -Thomas, Arthur, Alexander, Robert, Gilmore, Margaret, Isabell and Mariah. Alexander is my 3xggrandfather he was b. in 1789 in Va. The family moved to Kentucky around 1790-1800. Then around 1810-1820 most of the family moved to Indiana. Alexander had a son named Alexander who on Dec.4,1846 m. Mary A. McHaffie. They had a son Alexander in 1847. He m. Martha Helen Tubb in 1871 in Iowa. They had a son Thomas in 1873, they then moved back to Indiana. Most of the family is buried in Indiana, but many went west. We know nothing of any siblings of any of the Alexanders and we have hit a dead end on Arthur and Jane. Any information would be appreciated.
