Re-married Maurice Dee, son of John Dee and Mary Long to Margaret Lynch, daughter of Edmund Lynch and Mary Perryman - (They were 1st married by a Squire )

These are the only entries noting Omaha and all are on one page. The last entry on the prior page is dated Sunday, April 27, 1856 and the first entry on the next page is dated August 31, 1856.
Father Scanlan's trip to Omaha was documented in Savage and Bell's 1894 history of Omaha on page 345.
"On or about May 15, 1855...was celebrated the first church service, in Nebraska, according to the rites of the Roman Catholic Church. The celebrant was Rev. Father W. Emonds, who had been brought here from St. Joseph by Mr. Jeremiah Dee..."
Several paragraphs later:
"In the spring of 1856 the contract was let for the building of the first church edifice in Nebraska.....
"While this building was under way, Father Scanlan, of St. Joseph, arrived and celebrated the second mass....
"Having been completed, the church was dedicated "St. Mary's" by Rev. Father Scanlan, in August, 1856."

Three of the four couples are in the 1856 census for Omaha, Maurice Dee is in Bellevue. I couldn't find the Conways in 1860, but the others are in the same places.
I found this while researching the Daltons. John and Margaret are my g-g-g-grandparents. Sons Thomas, Michael, Patrick and William also show up in the Omaha area in the 1850s. Daughter Ellen married William Noonan in Ireland, they're my g-g-grandparents. The Noonans eventually came to Omaha, too.
