Karen, I do not know much more than what was stated in the message. Dennis John Connell at the age of 9 came to Canada with his father William Connell from County of Tipperary, Ireland. His death certificate says he was 64 yrs old which puts him born @1838. It lists William as father but mother unknown. I do not know if their are other siblings or where the mother was. Dennis went to Michigan @1860 (accord. to 1900 census)and he mar @ 1865 Catherine Ryan also from Ireland. His 1st son, Michael, was b @1863 in Hancock, Mich and then a dau., Margaret b @1865 in Houghton Co., Mich.
In 1870 he migrated to Essex Co., NY and the family has remained their ever since. Dennis and Catherine had 5 child: Michael, Margaret, John, Mary, William. Last 3 were born in NY state. Would welcome any help with this. Sandi
