I have a copy of Christoper Connell's Revolutionary War Pension File in which he says he served under a Captain John Connell in 1776 in New York. He also served under Col. Jacobus Van Schoovhoven at the same time.

Christopher was born 7-13-1760.

I do not see a John Connell in the book "Genealogical Abstracts of Revolutionary War Pension Files Volume I: A - E" as found at the SF Branch of the National Archives, as I was looking for more on the Captain John Connell mentioned.

This dosen't mean he did not serve, just that he didn't later apply for a pension in his old age. Most of the applicants seem to be in their mid to late 70's.

I believe Christopher's father to be John C Connell who died in 1801 out of Halfmoon, Saratoga Co, New York. But I do not know if he served in the Rev. War, perhaps a bit too old for that.

I believe Christopher also had a brother named John, in the New York area and then PA. He would be more of the right age.

Please contact me if you find out anything I may be interested in.

Thank you.
