I am looking for info on my father's family who "tossed the O in the ocean" when they crossed the pond. (From O'Connell to Connell)
As far as I know Thorn (Thomas) was born abt 1804 in N.Y. (Saratoga Co), married an Emily, and died 1-19-1885 in Oregon. Thorn and members of family came to Oregon in 1874 and setteled in eastern Oregon. Spending some time in the states in between esp. MI, IA, NE.
His children's names are Marilla, Julia Ellen "Juliett", Sally Ann, John G, Helum T, and Emily "Emma".
Any help going back farther would be appreciated.
Would esp. like to get Thorn's parents names as we think they are the ones to leave Ireland?
