I have discovered that I am a descendent of John Connell and Clarissa Hamilton through their son Daniel Connell who married Nancy Prevatt in Montgomery County, Georgia, Daniel Connell and Nancy Prevatt had a daughter, Mary Jane Connell, born in 1856 in Montgomery County, Ga. Mary Jane Connell married Joseph Gale about 1871. It looks like you are saying that the John Connell, born about 1760 in Pennsylvania, Rev. Soldier, who married Clarissa Hamilton in 1824, is not the same John Connell, born about 1789 that married Sarah Owsley in 1805 in greene County, Georgia. It looks like you are saying that the John Connell, born about 1789 is a son of Thomas Connell,( a brother of John Connell, born about 1760) Am I correct?

It looks like noone knows whether or not John Connell, of Burke and Montgomery County, Georgia, born about 1760 or 1759, in Pennsylvania, had a 1st wife prior to marrying Clarissa Hamilton and/or do not know her name. Could you give me some information on Clarissa Hamilton, please with documentation of her parentage? It looks like you have done an amazing research job on the Connells in Georgia. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.
