My interest is in Francis Connell Ferguson, born Lanarkshire/Glasgow area in 1832. Middle name somtimes spelt Connol.
Father Henrey Fergueson, a weaver.
Francis Connell Ferguson was a marble mason.
In 1858 he married Hellen Anderson from Shetland, and in 1859 they had a daughter Elizabeth Connell Ferguson at Lerwick. Afterwards they moved to London, where further children were born.
Presumably the middle name, Connell, was a family name, derived from a marriage during an earlier generation, between a male Ferguson and a female Connell. If you have such a marriage, in your family tree, I would be grateful to hear from you.
