I sure hope you are still into genealogy as I am looking for Connells who were in New Jersey in 1880-1881.
1. Andrew Connell and Catherine Jeffery Connell arrived in New York on June 7, 1880.
2. There son William J. (Willie) was born in New Jersey in 1881.
3. There second son Andrew was born in New York city in 1883 - so they had moved by then.
4. They had relatives in New Jersey but no one can remember where. One thought Nutley, one says no.
5. It is also believed that Andrew had a brother in Wilke's Barre, or Wilksborough, PA
6. Early on they went by Andreas and Katarina or Kate.
7. His death cert list John Connell and Sarah Jaffray as Andrew's parents

As for yours, i have often passed James Connell and Bridget Kilduff in my travels through old records, if you are still looking let me know and I will retrace my steps.
The name usually stands out as I have a friend named Kilduff here in Connecticut.
