Hi Evelyn. Thank you for the information which I'm happy to have. I haven't done extensive research on John Connell as he is not my direct line and the census information was given to me by another researcher. It does appear that John Connell and Sarah Owsley lived in Henry Co. from the following deeds:
Butts Co, GA DB B:
pp. 17: December 15, 1828. John Connal of Henry Co. to Aaron Woodward - half of Lot #29, Henry Co. (Now Butts). Wit: W.V. Beeney, A.L. Robinson,, Clerk SCBS.
pp. 28: December 15, 1828. John Connel of Henry Co. to Aaron Woodward sells one negro woman, 25, Nann; one negro girl, Bett, 16 years old; one negro boy Lewis, 13 years old; Daniel, 10 yrs., one hundred bbls corn, 5000# fodder, 50 heads hogs, 18 or 20 cattle, one sorrel mare, one gray mare, one colt, household and kitchen furniture, Con. $3625.00. Wit: A. L. Robinson.
I have identified this John Connell as the one who married Sarah Owsley because of the association with Aaron Woodward who married Chloe Owsley, sister of Sarah, but of course, I could be mistaken.
