The census records I have as as follows:
1820 Putnam Co., GA page 96 William Conaway
1830 Newton Co. GA page 55 John Conaway
1830 Newton Co. GA page 49 William Conaway
1830 Newton Co. GA page 45 John Conaway
1840 Newton Co. GA page 7 ? Libby Conaway
1840 Newton Co. GA page 15 John Conaway
1850 Hatchett Creek, Coosa Co. AL John, Alesy and William Conaway (I know these are mine) Don't really have proof of any of the other I listed.
1850 Coosa Co. AL William, Mary and children Conaway
1850 Newton Co. GA page 436 John, LIdia and children Conway (Don't know about these Conways)
Census records don't show relationships until 1850.

Father of my John Connaway (b. 1829 in GA and died 1878 in Parker Co. TX) was William (b. 1798 in GA and died 1864 in AL). William's wife was Mary Tyler (b. 1825 in NEwton Co. GA and died 1883 in Parker Co., TX)
John (b. 1829), his mother Mary (d. 1883) and John's daughter Mary (b. 1859, d. 1884 and wife of Francis Marion Thompson)are all buried at Blair Valley Cemetery in Parker Co., TX. I have been there but the tombstones are all gone, knocked over by cattle, etc.

I don't really have anything further back than what I have on William (b. 1798).

Sorry I can't help you more.

Ann
