I have read these same VA sources and believe we are working on the same Connaway family. You might check these counties in VA and MD.

My Katherine Connaway married in 1706 to John Richardson in All Hallows Parish, Anne Arundel Co, MD (Bk 1:71). Baptisms of their 7 children are found in 1707-1721.

They and their descendants sold & bought land on nearby Goose Creek in Prince William Co., VA, (later became Fairfax Co.) and then settled 1748 on Snow Creek in Halifax/Pittsylvania Co (later Henry/Franklin Cos), VA.

I descend from Amos Richardson bpt 1721 who md to Lucy (believed to be dau of John Cooke of Amelia Co).

In MO the Richardson descendants lived in Franklin Co. and near Humansville, Polk Co (probably not far from your Connaway families in Cedar Co).
