Hey Bud:

If you don't mind, I'd like your opinion of how you think Samuel Conn (ca. 1765-1806) is related to your people. I apologize, but I am pretty ignorant about your line and the birthdates of your people. Their proximity to each other has also made me consider the possibility of their being related, but I haven't followed up on that theory. I've been searching for Sam's son, John Conn in Indiana after 1840. I just haven't gotten back to Virginia yet.

Betsy has a theory that my Sam may have been born in Rockingham, NC rather than VA. Makes sense to me, it's nearer Lee Co., VA. Or he might have come up from NC, Yadkin Valley.

I'm intrigued by the DNA testing; does it have to be a direct all male line? Since I have more questions than contributions at this time, I prefer we use e-mail. Thanks, Linda
