I have noticed alot of families looking for Thomas Conn. He is a ggggg granfather of mine and found him to be my Irish link! He was born in 1772 in Down County Ireland, and came to America around 1800 with his father William and brothers(one was named Samuel), and settled two miles east of Florence,Hanover Township, Washington Co. PA.He was a shoemaker and was married twice. I don't know who his first wife was, but his second wife was Mary McElkany. They relocated to Port Washington, Tuscarawas Co.OH. Ater his death, Mary may have moved to Muskingum Co. to live with her children. He died April 12,1856 in Port Washington. He's buried at Bethel Cemetery in Tuscarawas Co. Children are as follows: Jane, Sarah, Maria, Rebecca, William C., Thomas, Isaac,Francis, Elizabeth, and James who was born in 1799 in Ireland, and died in 1898 in Beaver Co.PA. I hope this helps some of you.
