Hi Amiee,

I am afraid that I will not be able to be alot of help to you. My grand father Paul Conn was born in Belfast and his father Thomas Conn was from Armagh, his father was James Conn, and that is as far as things go for me. It is interesting to me that it appears that your ancestor conns were catholic at least at some point perhaps you can explain how you know that? See my grandfather Paul was Catholic, his father was protestant and his mother catholic and they lived in the war zone in Belfast and thus my father was born in Buffalo New York. I have come to learn that most of the Armagh Conns were Church of Ireland (Episcopalians) while many many Conns were Presbyterian, i.e. scottish. These things we take lightly over here, but to this day over there, serious matters, but it helps in family research. My father said his father told him we were deceded from Conn of the Hundred Battles. Good luck. I am in the Conn family DNA project.
