I am John James Conn's GG Granddaughter!
J.J. is what he was refered to by most people. J.J. was born on May 1st, 1859at Monomills Ontario. He dies Dec. 21, 1927.
His first wife was Mary Anne Mckinney they had one child
Mary Elizabeth. Mary Anne died and J.J. left his daughter Mary Elizabeth with her McKinney grandparents in Ontario and ended up in Saskatoon. Mary Elizabeth was raised by her Grandparents until she was 11yrs old. Then she came to live with J.J. & his new wife Sarah Anne Smith. J.J. & Sarah were the first couple to married in Saskatoon. (at 5 am by a traveling minister).
Sarah & J.J. had 8 children
Henry born June 27, 1887 married Tressie Kendrew
Minnie born Jan 12, 1889 Married Alex Johnson
Charles Born Jan 1, 1892 Married Tina Patterson
Emma Kristina born April, 1890 Married Howard Loucks
John Angus Born Feb. 18, 1898 died single Jan 7, 1919 (flu)
Cecil Alfred born March 31, 1901? Married Olive Mildred Benson
Florence May born Aug. 4, 1896 Married Archibald Avis
William G born 1894 no further info on him

J.J. & his first wife Mary Anne McKinney's Daughter
Mary Elizabeth born Oct 23, 1881 married Robert John Barber
They are my Great Grandparents!
You might be intersted to know that J.J. Conn's first house was built in Saskatoon, Sask in the winter of 1883-4
is the oldest standing building in Saskatoon. I seen it last week!!!!!
