Ferguson was born in PA (Mercer County), I believe. In a book at a library in Anamosa I read a short biography of Samuel and in there it said that as a young child he moved with his parents to Virginia. I don't know whether he moved later to PA with his parents or on his own. I need to review my records on the census data I have, but as I remember Samuel must have been older when he married Mary and had his children. I've wondered if he, too, may have had another wife earlier. I am related to Ruben Jackson Conaly (Ferguson's oldest child). I have assumed that Ferguson's first wife is the woman listed in the family Census record and is the mother of Ruben, but I am not sure. How are you related to Samuel? Also, any information you may have about any of these people, I would appreciate sharing details. Thanks
