From the book "The Conklin Family", Eldred and Popielarz, Gateway Press, Baltimore, Md. 1991: Nicholas Conklin and Elizabeth VanDitmarsen of Haverstraw, Rockland Co. were both baptized in the Tappan Dutch Church, Tappan, NY. They moved to the area
of Cochecton, NY, on the Delaware River abt 1757. They had 9 children.

Elias b. 15 Sept. 1758
Hannah b. ca. 1762
Mary b. 10 Nov. 1764
Christina b. ca. 1767
Rachel b. 21 March 1770
Elizabeth b. 8 Nov. 1773.
William Conklin m. Elizabeth Brink in 1774. They had a son Nicholas and lived at Big
Island in Cochecton. He was baptized at Reformed Church, Machackemeck, NJ 16 Aug. 1782."History of Sullivan County (NY)", James Quinlan, W.T. Morgan and Co., Liberty NY,1873 has additional information about family. E-mail if you need more info.
