Have a relative, Clarence Conklin Sr who was born in peekskill, ny in 1862. Have found there are a lot of Conklins who came from Peekskill but have not found a connection. Just as a note, have relation named Elizabeth Melvin who married a Thomas Clinton (a Clinton eventually married a Conklin). Elizabeth died in 1917 in the town or "Van Tassell" WY. Did any of your Van Tassells migrate west?
