I am searching the Conklin name in PA and NY. I am especially interested in locating information about Henry Conklin b 1822 or 1832 (probably in PA or NY), and wife Betsy Unknown. I have recently been in contact with a Mr. Dave Wallace who has given me the following information which matches up perfectly with your search:
"David Conklin bn N.Y. ca 1815 m/ Sarah Surret bn N.Y. ca 1826 died N.Y. aft 1907
children:
Myron Conklin bn 3/2/1844 in NY died in Lock Haven (Castanea) PA, 11/8/1907 married Lavina Zinck (1st wife) Both Buried in Woolrich emetery, about 7 miles from Lock Haven PA.
Marshall David Conklin bn Aug. 1849 married Elizabeth Probst, they are both buried about 6 miles from Lock Haven Pa. In Zeigler/St. John Cemetery (has 2 names)."
I have asked someone in Clinton County to check the cemetery listings to confirm this information. Also, there is some suggestion that there may have been other children as well. If/when I learn more, I'll pass it
along.
