It's my understanding (not documented by me) that John Runyon CONKLING left OH, for MO abt. 1850, and then to TX, in 1857. He married Amanda CONNET, Hamilton Co., OH, 28 Feb 1834, and he supp. died in Denton Co., TX.

Jemima LINDSLEY was the dau. of Maj. Joseph Lindsley and Anne/Anna LUM, b Morris Co., NJ, 15 Nov 1769. There are no death records for Abraham or Jemima in Hamilton Co., OH, but they were both apparently deceased by 1836, when their son-in-law William TINGLEY (m Eliza Conkling) began purchasing the 9 undivided shares of Abraham's land from his wife's siblings. John R. Conkling and Amanda were of Hamilton Co., OH, when they sold their land 26 Dec., 1836. Abraham and likely Jemima were still living in Columbia Twp., Hamilton Co., in the 1830 census.
