Pam, Small world. I grew up in Great Bend,PA. Live about 10 miles from Conklin, NY. Just getting started on family research. Plan on researching all local cemetaries, etc. records for Conklin's. Information came from unverified sources passed to me by relative found on web. Quite extensive listing of names. If ggg Charlotte married in Pa. that is Great Bend Township, Susquehanna Co. Montrose is Co. seat. But Town of Conklin/Kirkwood, Broome Co.,NY is very close. Do you know in which church they married? Will check area for Cairns name. E-mail if you want copies.
