Benjamin Conklin was the oldest child of James Dunham Conklin and Elizabeth Hill. My husband's grandfather, James Fountain Conklin, was born in 1848, a younger brother. The family moved to Warren Co., Il in 1852, west of Roseville. The family BIBLE was given to my husband, Dwight Emerson Conklin, M.D., by his father Ralph Fountain. It lists Benjamin and all siblings births and includes Benjamin's marriage. Benjamin and Mary are buried in Rinngold Co., IA. James Dunhams' father was Benjamin and his father, Joshua, who was a teamster in the Revolution from N.J. I have been researching the family for 40 years. What is your interest in the family?
