I'm bookmarking your message in hopes that more will be added sometime.
Although I cannot help you at this time :( .... I'm hoping additional posts will be put here to help me begin.
My Conklin line comes from Owego, Nichols, Waverly area - Tioga Co., NY from what I was always told. The only thing I know so far is my great grandmother's name was either Louella or Sophia Conklin. She married a William? Wilson. They had several children two of which I found were born in Candor, Tioga Co., NY. Those children along with my grandmother were born in the 1895 era which would put my Louella back approx 20 years born in 1870 era.
Please post here if you find more info on the Conklins in this area, maybe we will find the branch that links us together.
