According to the 1900 census Aaron was born in Vermont and his father was from Scotland. Mother was born in Massachusetts.
I am still trying to find his parents' names. The family story is that the family was moving west when the parents became ill and died in western PA. Aaron and an unknown brother were taken in by different families. Aaron later moved to Ohio where he married Lavinia Goldmann and then they moved on to Indiana. There is also no known sign of the brother.
