I have some of the same information on Samuel Conklin. My notes indicate he was born in Long Island Watertown NY. His father was John D. A son left home when a boy was never heard from again (I don't know if this was Samuel's son for John's son.

Could Julia have been married more than once. Notes I have indicate that Julia married a Krebs (possibly Henry C) from Herkimer or Hamilton CO NY in 1855. They had one son Henry Holland Krebs (1855). Henry Holland had 5 sons (Henry, ALbert, Arthur James, Frank and Charles) born in Iowa and Nebraska

Does any of this seem possible.

The Krebs line is my link to the Conklins and Curtis's.
