I'm not sure if this will be of any help, but my grandmother Clara Conklin Menhennett's g/f was named Horatio Conklin. Our family is from Broome County, right on the Tioga border. I haven't found out too much about Horatio, except that he married an Almira Turner, and had a son named Nelson born in Milanville Pa. in 1845. All in the same general area.
