Hi Don,

I am stuck on the same two men. Interestingly enough, there are a father and son listed in Long Island named Hamilton Conklin (or Conkling) that lived about the same time as your Hamilton. I have tried to see if the son is the same person as ours, but cannot find a connection. Any idea where the Conklin's came from before they got to Connecticut?

I had Benjamin Hess listed with the middle initial of "B." Is it "R?" I have his wife, Charlotte Hapgood traced back to the 1600's. I met someone over the internet that sent it all to me.

I also have Hamilton Conklin's wife traced back to the 1600's. I can give you all my info electronically somehow. John will be able to help me do it. I am not doing this in a very serious way. I am trusting that the people who put info on the World Family Tree, know their facts. If you find out that my information is wrong, let me know.

I found Nina Bell's name change records on a Massachusetts site. She changed her name on June 3, 1892 (I am not positive on the year.)
Original name: Ida J. Willis
Changed to Nina Belle Rice.

Good to hear from you.

Send me an email for further information.
