Robert,
I live in Rockland Co, NY. There are numerous CONKLINs and BENSONs here. The Rockland BENSONs are my family, descended from the immigrant, Dirck BENSON.
I have a large descendant’s file on my BENSONs, but have no Mary B. CONKLIN, or other BENSON/CONKLIN marriages.
There is another distinct possiblility. I believe that all the Rockland CONKLINs originated in Westchester Co. There is also a line of BENSONs in Westchester Co. I was in touch with someone from this line. They are not descendants of Dirck BENSON, and are not of the same Dutch/Swedish ancestry. Perhaps yoyr BENSON/CONKLIN connection came from Westchester Co, rather than Rockland Co, NY.
I will try to dig up the BENSON researcher that I was in contact with. My E-Mail files are archived on my laptop, at home. Unfortunately, my Power Cord has died, so I am out of business for awhile.
